Terraria - Joining My Server

Hiyo! This guide will cover setting up Modded Terraria so you can join my Server :D

There's no crazy mods, it's mostly Quality of Life stuff to improve the game in some of its weak spots.

tip

I'd suggest logging into Steam on your Browser before starting. While this isn't necessary, it will make future steps much easier.

note

Before you begin, ensure that you have tModLoader installed on your computer. It's free and is for modding the game.

Installing Some of the Visual Stuff

  1. Get Started by subscribing to the Visual mods made to the base game. Trust me, these ones are ESSENTIAL to ensuring that the modpack works. If you logged into Steam on your browser, press Subcribe to All at the Steam Workshop

  2. [Optional] Subscribe to one of the Resource Packs if you'd like. These basically change the textures of the blocks, and can either change small things or drastically change how the game looks. I picked some out here if you wanna try some, but you can always view more at Terraria's Steam Workshop.

  3. [Optional] Subscribe to one of the UI Packs if you'd like. These basically change how the UI looks. I picked some out here if you wanna try some, but you can always view more at Terraria's Steam Workshop.

Installing the modpack

  1. Press the + Subscribe to All button at the Steam Workshop Collection I set up.

  2. Once you wait a bit for the mods to install, load up tModLoader.

  3. Open tModLoader

  4. In the Main Menu, go to Workshop, and then Manage Mods.

  5. Near the bottom, press Enable All to ensure that they're all active. Pres Yes when prompted.

  6. Go back to the Main Menu. You should see each mod go through Unloading.

  7. In the Main Menu, go back to Workshop. This time, go to Use Resource Packs.

  8. Order them like shown below, from Top to Bottom:

  9. In the Main Menu, go to Settings. From there, go Controls and then Keybindings.

  10. Scroll all the way down to Mod Controls.

  11. Under Ore Excavator (Second to Last Mod), set the Excavate keybind to your preference. I'd recommend LeftAlt.

  12. For any other mod, feel free to adjust any of the Toggle keybinds.

Joining the Server

  1. In the Main Menu, go to Multiplayer.

  2. Select Join via IP

  3. Create a new character, or select one if you already made one.

  4. Input the following for each when prompted:

    Click to Copy to Clipboard.

    ItemInput
    Server IP Address
    Server Port
    Password
